There's Comfort in the Waiting Room
This sermon addresses the Christian life as a season of waiting between Christ's resurrection and His promised return. Drawing from Jesus' farewell discourse to His disciples before the crucifixion, the message emphasizes that while believers live in a "waiting room" between promise and fulfillment, God provides supernatural comfort through Jesus Christ. Pastor Bernard contrasts earthly waiting rooms (like doctor's offices) with God's spiritual waiting room, where Jesus personally prepares believers, provides assurance, and serves as the exclusive pathway to the Father. The central truth is that God has the power to fulfill His promises, and Jesus alone is the master key to accessing God's presence and promises. Believers are encouraged to trust God's timing, send up their "timber" through faithful living, and rest in the assurance that Jesus is preparing a place for them while simultaneously preparing them for that place.
