Fireproof
This sermon explores the account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3, emphasizing how God meets His people in their trials and makes them fireproof through testing. The message draws parallels between the ancient story and modern challenges, showing that while circumstances may appear different, the core struggles remain the same—choosing God over idols, enduring trials, and trusting in God's presence. The sermon emphasizes that fiery trials are not meant to destroy believers but to refine them, making them look more like Jesus. Just as terracotta becomes fireproof by going through intense heat during manufacturing, believers become spiritually fireproof through their trials. The central truth is that Jesus is the "fourth man in the fire"—Emmanuel, God with us—who provides comfort, companionship, and freedom even in our most difficult moments. The fire that was meant to destroy the three Hebrew boys actually brought them closer to God and changed the course of history, demonstrating that a faith tested by fire is a faith that can be trusted.
